I have a vac 14. It starts like a new one, but when it get hot (runs for about 5-10 min) it starts to spit and sputter until it quits. Then I have to choke it to get it started again, but it will stall again. I have to let it cool down to get it back to the house. I have replaced all the fuel line and inline filter. Also I have a clunking sound coming from the rear end. It doesn't always do it. If clutch is in and rolling or when going down hill it sounds normal. Any suggestions

I have crud in the gas tank that causes mine to do that. The crud gets over the outlet hole in the tank. I pull the sediment bowl off, hook a rubber hose onto the outlet, open the valve and blow back through it. I know, it would be better if I would just clean out the tank.

I have had condensers that died out when hot-might start with it and check plugs. Once upon a time I had a seal from a teat dip jug fall into the tank and it would float over the outlet and stop fuel flow- took a while to figure that one out--.

check the gap on your spark plugs. they might be gapped a little big or even fouling. when it warms up, the gap gets larger and creates more resistance for the spark to jump across. it wouldnt hurt to check the points and condenser as well.

the noise in the tranny could be a bad gear or bearing. thats gonna require more investigation and probably invasive surgery.

hope this helps
