My wifes uncle had a 1964 830 diesel case-o-matic that dynoed 118hp with an m&w turbo and domed m&w pistons. He had a hard time keeping head gaskets on it when it was his main tillage tractor in the early seventies. He still ownes it minus the turbo and domed pistons. If you turbo one I would definately dyno it.

Chris, Can't tell you much but thought you would like to know that there were quite a few installed on 830s around Greely Co. way back when. George was a good mechanic at the Case dealer. He used a PTO HP tester when he set them up. Be aware that with a turbo you can set the fuel injector pump to too much power. They seemed to be an OK thing here at 5000ft. Probably M&W. I know they made them.

Thanks for the reply. I'll have a 400 mile drive to go get it. I had never seen an 830 turbo'ed ,I thought he might have been blowing smoke somewhere on me. I really dont know ,but I'd guess 75 or 80 HP would'nt hurt it any as long as the rpm's didnt get away from you.
