Today I started my tractor after I put new spark plugs and a new fan belt in it, it is a 1950 model D. When Started it the first time it smoked really bad so I turned it off (Its gas). The second time I started the tractor it smoked about the same and there was sparks coming from the exhaust manifold (bad gasket I think). I turned it off again because I thought it would explode or something. Then it would NOT START AGAIN.

PS I need some help the tractor show in kalispell, Mt is in septemter. PLEASE HELP!!

Hooked the spark plug wires up in the wrong order? Bad or cracked spark plug? Shifted the distributer cap around while remove the spark plugs? If it ran before your repairs and these are the only repairs you did then the problem is most likely with the belt or the spark plugs. Since the belt is not as likely to be the problem look carefull at the plugs and wires and cap.

Was your tractor started before your repairs? I also have a 1950 D here in Stevensville. Sheldon
