I am looking at a 1194 tractor that is for sale but have heard some bad things about the hydraulic systems on these tractors. People have told me that the systems are not strong enough for the tractors and that there have been a lot of prblems with them. Any info would be appreciated, thanks,

I know that this is a bit late. But the Case 1194 is as fine a tractor ever built. I have one that has 3700 hours on it and has givin less problems than any other tractor that I have owned. I have also owned an 885 David Brown which is the same tractor. My only regret with the 1194 is that I watched one sell at auction less than a year ago for $4500 and I didn't buy it.

I have been running 880 and 885 David Browns, and
they are all the same as the 1194, and probably
the best DB ever made. It has plenty liftcapacity
for a tractor of that size. Excellent speeds,
and good fueleconomy. Go ahead and get it.
Best wishes , Jens Andersen, Denmark

The only problem that these tractors have are the owners. If you don't service them they give problems. The control valve can give trouble when the hydraulic oil becomes dirty. The pump pressure runs at 2500psi. Plenty of strength. They are a good little tractor.
