Am looking at a fairly sharp 930 comfort king diesel row crop. Fairly new tires, I assume it to be a late one as it has flat top fenders.

What to look out for on these? good and bad? and the big question-whats it worth? i am just going to be using it for tillage, ect..

I would say $2,500-$3,000. Brakes and power-steering were the trouble spots. Not expensive to fix, just it's only real flaws. New tires are good, narrow front end you said right? I had a 65' for years and it was a darn fine machine. Flat top fenders are the comfort King models 64' and on. If it has orgianl paint the 68-69 models should have a orange steering column. Good Luck.

Well, I guess I should have stated it was a wide front, general purpose tractor, not a narrow front. Thanks. Whats the problem with the brakes and pwr steering?

THE BRAKE SYSTEM CONSIST OF HARD PLASTIC PADS THAT LOCK TOGETHER WHEN PRESSED. THE PROBLEM IS KEEPING THEM ADJUSTED AND EVEN WHEN ADJUSTED CLOSE TO THE RIGHT WAY IT IS STILL HARD TO STOP IT ON A DIME.THE POWER STEERING BELT NEEDS TO BE THE CORECT SIZE AND NEEDS TO BE TIGHT AS POSSIBLE ALSO. MOST I HAVE SEEN HAVE TOO SMALL OF A BELT AND WHEN YOU GO TO TURN IT; THE BELT SLIPS AND MAKES ALOT OF RACKET. I HAVE DROVE ONLY A FEW THAT HAVE GOOD BRAKES AND STEERING AND DAD OWNS ONE OF THEM.I HOPE THIS HELPS.

Rev JJ,

I got the Case 600 combine moved weekend before last. Driving that beast up on the trailer was an experience but it is moved now. Thanks for your help last year.

About the Case they are just bad... you need to sell it to me.

Good points they run forever and are good pullers. Bad points not the best in creature comfort, steering and brakes not the best.

Glad to here you are having good luck. Hope you get to use the combine some. If I get the old boy traded on this thing I may keep it a while.
