Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to move a cornpicker, short of mounting it on a tractor? I have a 20' flatbed trailer that sits about 3' off the ground, and access to a front end loader, but am not sure of the best way to go about it without damaging the picker. Any ideas are appreciated! Also, did anyone out there ever have a 425 picker mounted on a 400B (411B) or 630 (641)? If so, would you happen to have the mounting subframe for these tractors? The parts catalog says that you can mount it to them, but I think it would be a lot of weight on that size tractor. Thank you for your help!

We use to dismount our JD 227 on a wooden sled (made out of 1X12 native lumber). You could just drive on and mount and dismount. Then you could drag it to a different part of the tool shed if you wanted. You could probably jack it up, slide planks under it and then bolt or nail cross memebers in place. Then you could rig some way to pull it up ramps on to trailer.
