Hello tractor experts....Just aquired an old Case tractor with the serial# tag gone from the dash. I found a picture of a 42 VC row crop that looks real close. It has a four cyl. flathead with the following numbers cast in this configuration. Thanks for Your help. CFA124 14249

C 13 Z

F400 A 429

I have 1941 Case model V with a Continental 4 cylinder 124 C.I. Lhead Serial No. CFA1245987 it has the engine block casting no. F400A429 and transmission top plate castings VT5 and VT25.
There is a photo of a yellow one in the photo search engine on this website. The VC model is for crop rows with a narrow front wheel base.
It also has the right hand belt drive pto.

Have Fun,

Bob

Those are flat head casting numbers. It would have to be one of the V series tractors.

hmmm....

if you have a pic, it would help. not familiar w/ those casting #s but you may be right in thinking its a VC, they may be Continental engine casting #s.

good luck!
