I am about to rebuild the carb on my DC, is there anything special I should know before I do? I'm getting a rebuild kit from my local C-IH dealer. I know I can get answers here, I read this page almost every day to see if there's anything that can help me. Thanks.

I cant offer sage advice on your DC but I can tell you a couple of things I learned on my SC carb rebuild. First dont forget to check the incoming line for cleanliness. Second and this one burned me for a week, check the gasket for port alignment on both the top and bottom of the Carb body halves. The SC gasket from NAPA fit perfectly on the bottom down to the last hole. I never checked it against the top that had an elongated channel that matched a round hole on the bottom. The channel was the vent for the fuel bowl. Sometimes it would work. Sometimes the bowl would become air bound. Good luck.
