I took another look at that SC today, the one I told you had a 6 digit serial #. Here's a picture. Obviously my eyesight wasn't too good last time :(

Lucky the tag is on the dash. Most I see are gone. I looked at a DC last Saturday for sale for $100.00. The original front end was removed from the front and a wide front installed. A sort of rube goldberg affair from the looks of it. It was parked 4 years ago and running then. If anyone is interested let me know I will get a phone number for you. I know the serial started with DC 55, dont remember the rest. All the gauges were there.

Hey Les,

Cool- I'm happy to see what an original CASE temp gauge looks like. I'm sorry to say that it's about NOTHING like the "old style" reproduction gauge that I recently purchased from v a l u - b i l t.

I'm trying to get my hands on a set of all 3 of the old SC or DC style guages (non-functional O.K.) so that I can get a good pic of the original face graphics.

My temp gauge is on the left- and my amp gauge is where your temp gauge is. Don't know if it's in the right place or not...

Mike,
That SC gage is identical to my original LA temp gage I just replaced. I also was disappointed that the repro was not exactly the same. Is there any way we can influence the repro people to make it identical?
Thanks,
Steve

The tempture gauage should be on left - the oil and amp on the right.

I don't much know the history of this tractor but I seriously doubt that the gauges have ever been messed with.
