Well, I finally started my VC project today. I have been sanding down my hood, battery box, and some other tin yet. What do I do for the motor though? Do I sand the paint smooth then paint over it primer then my paint? Just need to know. I will post pics if someone can send me the link to a free image hosting site.

Thanks!

If you were a "Tractor Taler" I'd tell you to use Bobduck's site. But talk to Mike Schotte. He'll do your pictures for ya.
I want to see the answers on the engine, too.

My dad and I have been using an air powewered needle scaler designed for removing rust scale and welding slag to remove old paint from all the castings on the tractors we have restored lately. Then my dad has been using white wall cleaner to clean it down to the bare metal and starts with the primer from there.
