The 800 is listed as being produced in '58, serial nos for model year '59 included with 700 series.
800B produced in '59 & 60, serial nos seem to be included with the 700 & 800 series, but only '58 and '59 serial nos. No serial nos. listed for 1960.
This info from a dealer's loan and trade-in-value book. Very confusing.
My 801B is many miles from home, but I think A111 is the number cast on the block. 4 1/8 bore, 267 cu. in. diesel.

I don't think they made an 800 only 800B. If the bore is 4.125 it would be a 267 like a 800B or 730. The bolt pattern is different between the two. The 800b has a bypass oil filter and the 730 has a full flow oil filter. They are mounted opposite of each other. I can't remember which is which but I can find out if no one else helps. 1 is vertical and 1 is horizontal. If the bore is 4.250 or 4.3875 its a 830 probably. Gas 830s were 4.250 and 284 cid and diesel were 4.3875 and 301 cid

Look on the engine flange where it bolts up to the tranny on the left side.(near the air cleaner) You'll find the serial number stamped into the cast iron there. Give me that number and I can tell you what you have.
