In a message posted by Terrance in Aug. 2002 he stated that because of fluid seal leaks between the torque tube and transaxle of 2 of his case tractors that he uses thc/hy-tran, #68 weight,in both the torque tube and the transaxle, and gets the needed lubrication for the transaxle with this oil. Has anyone else tried this? If so, what oil are you using? If this works, if would keep me from replacing seals in my 611B case-o-matic.

I use universal fluid in everything. The fluid in the Case-O-Matic is also used for external hydraulics and the eagle hitch. If different implements are used with different tractors, the fluid becomes mixed with fluids from other tractors though the external hydraulics. Another way for the Case-O-Matic fluid to get into the transaxle is though the eagle hitch cylinder. If hitch drifts down, then the cylinder is leaking into the transaxle. I am not familiar with all Case tractors. This example is based on my 630.
