I have been working on it for around 3 months to get it ready. I took 1st in 3500# and 4000# super 12mph class. The hood still has to be finished but thats all. I weighed 3450# with no weights and couldn't run any on the front and thats why the front is up. But it's a Case so it still took 1st..

Ha ha I plow, or used to, I use my F-30 now, to plow, and the CC would bury itself highcentered, or boil over. I guess those short pulls supprise it and itds ovewr before it can do either. I love my CC, especially as mygrandad owned it, and its so easy to get on and off, but, with narrow 36in wheels, its not the best plow tractor lol.

John Thanks for the valve cover. Without it I just don't know how I would have gottin that oil to stay in.

CASEPOWER-

Looks great. I can't wait to see more photos of the tractor now that it's done.

Two questions:

1) How did the pulley "disc brake" that you made work out?

2) How do you decide the optimum angle for the wheelie bars to stop the tractor?

The brake works, but you have to make sure there is no drag on it when the clutch is engaged because it works before the final drives and takes alot of power away fast if it drags at all. The wheelie bars are simple. 1. make sure the total plate on the bottom is totally behind the cleat of the tire. 2. make sure they are no more then 10" off the ground 3. angle the plate so when they do hit the ground they don't dig in. Also put the bars themselves at a angle from the top of the rear housing. I have seen people just put them out level like the drawbar from the bottom of the housing and they bend them. Also if you do like me and use aluminum make sure you get someone to weld them that knows what there doing. I had LW weld them and he likes to over do things just incase and theres nothing wrong with that.

Good going. I always like to see a Case do well at a pull. What kind of work did you do to the engine?

This is my temprary engine just to pull till I get my other one done so it's not much. I am running stock 260 cubes with high altitude pistons and a 5505 gas head with alot of porting. I had to mill the pistons .040 to clear the head. I also ported the manifold and knocked the guides out of the head and cut them so they didn't stick down in the chamber and hurt the flow. The other engine is much larger and I hope to finish it before the end of the year.
