How low can I get a 1952 VAC12. Pressed steel rims front and rear, No PTO No eagle hitch or hydralics with battery, starter and distributor or with mag and no electric. I plan on taking the engine to a 148 and want to pull in 3,000 or below classes

Massey 22 hubs will bolt right on. They come 9 and 7 lug. The 7 lug are lighter but hard to find rims for.

i pulled my 49 VAC in the 3000 lb. class two years ago w/ row crop front end (cast iron front hubs) no weights on the back wheels, 3pt hitch entact and me on it (@ roughly 135-140 lbs... yeah im scrawny) and it came out to 3000 lbs even. placed fifth @ the steam-era show in milton, ontario. was beat out by john deere b's and masseys.

the year before i pulled w/ the weights on the back wheels and weighed 3150 lbs. so i competed in the 4000 lb class and took 3rd.

don't know what i'm gonna do next time out. maybe stuff a few 148g engine parts it her. she'll tear up the track then (lol).

good luck

mike
