Judgeing from the shifter and the seat it's a VAO. the price is right, but it's way to far for me to go.

Just got an e from the seller and "The number on the dash plaque is VAO5156963 and the numbers by the seat are VT 161." :-)

Check on it later. I requested that the model & serial #, stuck/not stuck, and how stored be placed in the Ebay description.

Shifter, seat (which is different from my 48), operating pedals, steering wheel and air intake height all point to VAO. If it is stuck or has other engine problems and it obviously has tire problems I can't see the price rising to high, not without pedals and a chain. Certainly worth watching.

Hey CASEPOWER; Your rite, the price rite now is OK. But it is a long way away. It says he'll ship. If you FAX him enough cash he'll get it to you. John

hey anything that gets this much attention deserves to be watched. if someone has a line on the full body armour for this thing (orchard tin) it'd be well worth the shipping cost.

Hey guys, It looks just like the one I picked up today at the auction. Mine doesn't look a whole lot better, but it runs sweet. I wouldn't mind hearing about some of that orchard tin laying around if it happened to be in the East. Take care

I have been in the Sacramento Valley area for 30 years, orchards are everywhere miles of them infact, and I have yet to see complete orchard tin except on the tractor photo pages of this site. I'm sure I wouldn't have missed them because they are eye catchers, I wonder how many of the manufactered VAO models actually had complete orchard tin, if that info is available.

What does the full tin consist of for the VAO? Mine has full rear fenders, but nothing else. Serial # VAO4933...Year?
At auction today, a complete, non running, straight body, belt pulley, chicken roost (SC?) went for $17.50. I stopped bidding at $15. I had the VAO,and other junk, uh, I mean stuff.
9N-$125, non runner
JD M, $400 " "
"Other tractor prices too low to mention.".

My VA parts book shows the VAO looking just like the one in the e-bay auction. It also lists orchard deflectors and fenders along with all the other different fender and step plate options available for the VA's. They consited of an "upper and lower deflector", a "crown type" fender, and a "fender closure". I am guessing one would have ordered them as special equipment based on their needs. Slowpoke, if your serial number has seven digits, it is a 1945.

Here's a pic of a VAO that I found on the web (YTs' Tractor Photos?) with full tin. I've owned 2 of them myself and one did have the full rear fenders but the other one was the same as the one on eBay. Most of the ones around here are like that.
