On my '50 Case VAC I have now split 3 fittings on the bottom of the line from the depth control unit to the cylinder. These fittings have split in the remaining threads. After the last fitting split, I pulled off the valve assembly and cleaned up the relief valve. Haven't tried it yet. Anything I'm overlooking?? When I split the first one last year, I suspected ice since there had been water in the system, but 3 fluid changes later and 3 more split fittings.....

Fitting will have to handle the relief valve setting of 800-850 psi with usual higher surge assoc with this type equipment. The fitting is in an area that water is likely to collect. I would let the tractor sit for several days and then crack the torque tube drain plug to check for residual water (crack the nut on that fitting also). Joe

One last question. Are new parts--springs etc, still available from Case or are there aftermarket
sources for them. Tnx. Bill

Your dealer should be able to find the springs and stuff no problem. Good Luck!
