I have a 51 DI Case in good condition and it runs good. Paint pretty good. Used to pull military planes around so it needs tires. I never got around to getting new ones. What is a fair price? Are these very rare? Looks like it would be a good puller it has plenty of power, would it? I really need live power and live hydraulic for the farm.

Thanks

I would like to say my father bought a running Case DI for $400 in 1987 at a city/county vehicle auction. It is a 1942 military version. An older gentelman at the sale said we got the best buy at the sale. We repainted it, bought some used rear tires and a few other parts. We have been using it for farm work ever since. i beleive it to be a rare tractor but I do not know ith true value.

Hey Black Creek Farm: Wish we lived closer. PTO & HYD. might add to it's value, but to a military collector it probably wouldn't. Rear fenders? Lights? CASE mag.? Things to consider.

It has the Case mag and two front lights. One needs a seal beam and the rim that hold it in. No fenders.

No one has put a figure up for you yet, as soon as I do they will jump all over me. I could have bought a nice DI from a collector 10 years ago for $400 cause he wanted the extra space. Dumb me didn't do it. Wife said the 400 was better spent elsewhere. He would have delivered it the 40 miles to me for that. John

I've been lurking on this board a while now to see if anyone talked about DI's. We have a 1945 DI that was used by the airforce to tote planes around too. When we got it, it had a loader on it. We used it for hayrides, amazing, that thing would pull down a house. As of right now it doeesn't move, think the chain in the tranny broke.

Bill

p.s. Sorry Mike was restored about 18 yrs ago and was painted orange, otherwise it looks just like the 44's in your photos

Do not pull your tractor if it is the chain--Old timmers tell me the chain can fold up or double up and not have room between the big gear and casting----casting is the weaker of the two. good luck Dave

If you've got any photos of your tractor- send 'em my way... I'll put them in with the other military DI photos I've got.

Hey John- did you see my reply to you about the 10-18 crossmotor?
