I am putting the hubs back on an old SC that was taken apart some time ago. Do any of you SC experts got a parts drawing of the hub and bearings that you could email me. If anyone has part numbers that would be very helpful. I have manauls for most every thing except the S Series. Also does the parts manual show what size pin goes in to the crank to dampner. Thanks

Mike and casepower,
Thanks for the pictures Mike, they are lots of help and if I can help in the future let me know. The brake pedals don't look brass. Thanks alot.

Casepower I cleaned up the bearings and come up with the same part numbers you listed. I thought I would see if I could get them through Mack where I work to save some dollars. Hopefully I can get it back to looking like a tractor next week. I should of tried to start it first before doing this but I have confindence that it will run.

Later guys

caseman-d:

Here are 3 scans of the (dual-front wheel) SC tractor parts breakdown illustrations and parts number lists for your use.

E-mail me if you can't read any numbers. Hope this helps.

-Schotte

(p.s. to C. Amick- I threw some scans of the low-cost fuel manifold in there for your use, too.)

I've got "S" series parts manuals, and can probably help you out with your part numbers. I don't have anything scanned- but I could do that (not quickly), or I could Xerox a page for you.

However, I've got to get some sleep though before I fall over.

Let me get back with you tomorrow.

Regards, -Schotte

You might want to give me a little info on the year of the tractor so I can narrow down the parts that you need:

Page 95 of the parts manual states:

"NOTE: Heavier steering spindle (08510AB) used regularly beginning with tractor No. 5313815. Can also be used on tractors prior to tractor No. 5313815 if spindle is furnished with additional parts as follows: 1- 08510AB, 2- 01456AB, 2- 08509AB, 2- 08513AB and 2- 3801AA.

The two hub part numbers that you have to choose from are either #2509AA or #3806AA.

The heavier spindle is about 1/8 inch bigger then the light weight one. I ran into this just the other day. The Timken #s for the heavier spindle is 14125-A and 2788. They use the felt seal on the inside also. I have two hubs with the same casting # that I noticed after I mounted them are not just alike. They work the same but just look a little different from each other. You can still pick up the bearings at NAPA. They had one in stock and had the other the next morning.
