I have put together a little page on the war efforts of case during ww-2. We should remember the troops over there now but must never forget the troops that kept us a free country for all these years. Hope you enjoy.

Nice job CASEPOWER. Hope that a__hole that doesn't know a good rotary mower from a bad one sees it. My Dad used to tell of the U.S. Gov't during WW2 favored the SC in that power range over other tractors because of the weight to power ratio. John

My 1944 S was bought by the Army Air Force for base maintenance. It was shipped in Flambeau colors and never given a military number. After the war it was sold for orchard duty and did very well due to being very narrow. I have restored it as an orchard conversion...Gene

Thanks CASEPOWER! Where'd you get those photos from? The only one of those pictures I'd ever seen before was the military LAI with side curtains.

Maybe Kim could add this story about Case at war to the YTMAG articles for J.I. Case?

Mike, I have a lot of Case factory photos. I will hunt up some SC photos on the assembly line and post them or e-mail them to you. I can guarantee there will be some one of a kind ones and pictures you have never seen before. The LAI picture and the big gun picture at the top left was barrowed pictures. The other 3 are Case factory photos and the artical Is from a 1945 magazine I have.

Casepower; Would you have any photos of the VAIW in military trim that would be helpful in putting the finishing touches on my 1945 VAIW? thanks.. Gene

I may have. I will check. I do have some being assembled but I am not sure if they are military. I will be glad to look and post what I have. Most of the pictures I have are from 1942 through 1945 the war years.
