I looked at my Case mag. There is hole in the cap between the bottom two mounting screws. I think that this is where the tab was originally mounted. I ran a kill wire through this hole into the mag. Hook the kill wire to the post with nuts on it that is part of the points. The NAPA part number for the kill switch I bought is PP6354. It's not an exact match, but it looks better than those switches with the plastic pull knobs.

If the kill wire tab is missing, you may have to either make one or just run the wire into the magneto case. NAPA Auto Parts sells a 6 volt switch that very closely resembles the original Case switch. The metal pull knob is almost identical. This switch has two posts though, so you will have to run one to ground. I can get you the NAPA Part Number, if interested.

what if anything is that tab connected to on the inside? i cannot seem to pull it out. is there a nut on the inside. the reason i ask is, the tab itself comes out of the plastic cover. it would somehow have to ground to something? plastic? hope you can follow. also if you have that part # for the switch that would be great

Myron,

I'd be interested in that switch part number. It's got that really small knob like the original?

If it is a case Mag. there will be a post with a nut and a short strip of metal on it about the center of the mag on the bottom back side. This is where you hook your kill swith to.
