The 900 in our country was six cylinder hand cluch chain drive. The 930 was also six cylinder but gear drive and foot clutch. Dale in Tx.

The first 930s were like the 900s, excepting the 401" engine. The second 930s were also chain drive, six speeds, but the operators platform was moved forward. The last 930s were 8 speed gear drive tractors and designated Comfort King.

both replys are part wrong. 900erds became 930's in 1960. The 1960 Lp and Diesel 930's were a little different in the rad grill department. the 930's through 1962 or 3 had a different dash but the platform was the same as 900 the front axle was different(wider) as well as the powersteering had a different cyl. system, the 1963 or 4 (I can't remember which year the switch to CK) CK 930 than was a lot different with the operater being up in the center with the tank behind the operator. The 63-4 CK had round fenders and the 65-9 wheatland had big square fenders The CK 930 was a six speed like the reg 930 until 1966 when they made both the six speed chain drive and the eight speed gear drive. The front axle and rear wheels were adjustale and the steering system different on the eight speed and the eight speed was also made as a Wheatland and a rowcrop. in 1967-9 only the eight speed was made. The LP version always used the 377 engine.

The serial no break is 8253501 and up for the eight speed gear drive. Neb test 918, October 16,1965. No six speed, chain drives were built after the above ser no, ie contemporaneously with the eight speed.

I think the 900 oilfilter was mounted vertically and the 930 horizontally. The axle support casting on the 930 is longer than the 900. I can get the measurements if you need them.

I forgot about oil filters ,the power steering hoses always seemed in theway when you changed the filter on the 900's.

The 900's had a emblem on both sides spelling Case the 930's had a decal.

Chot; If it has the American Bosch rotary pump it is definately a "900". But the later "900" used the in line German Bosch pump the same as the "930". So; look on the engine for the model of the engine if the tractor seriel number is gone. The "900"'s all used the 377 gas or diesel. the "930" diesel used the 401 . The "930" gas used the 377 also, I believe.
