The $3000 price range is about what they bring. The 730 and 830 are the same tractor with the 830 having bigger pistons. My 830 is a very reliable tractor, but you have to watch two things. If it sets outside, you will have trouble with the brakes. They get rust inside the housing and the pads will not grab like they should. And keep an eye on the transmission fluid level. If it gets real low, one of the range gears will sieze to the range shaft. It requires good lubrication.

MY DAD HAD ONE FOR OVER 25 YEARS AND WAS THE BIG MAIN TRACTOR. NEVER ANY PROBLEMS OTHER THAN THE TIRES, OIL ETC. HATED THE CASE-O-MATIC FOR PTO DRIVEN BALER AS IT HAD NO CLUTCH TO SLIP WHEN YOU CAME TO A BIG WAD IN THE WINDROW. IT WAS SOLD FOR SCRAP A LONG TIME AGO BECAUSE THE ENGINE WAS STARTING TO USE OIL
