Am in the process of restoing and painting a rather nice 2 bottom case plow on rubber. Bottoms good, correct coulters but not sure what paint goes where and probably even need, if available paint codes or source of correct paint. Needless to say colored literature or a plow with good paint would be a great starting point. Located in NW In. Any help out there?

I could possibly be of some help. It depends on how old it is the earliest Case plows had red beams and the later plows had orange beams. I have a 2 bottom 16 inch with the red beams. I would look at the beams to see if there is any hint of old paint left on them. Particularly where the frogs bolt on. The axles and linkage should be Case green and the wheels a creme yellow color. E-mail if you would like to Richard.

Richard, Thanks for the reply. This is a later plow as evidenced by the disced rubber wheels in my mind. Am reasonably certain one of the 16" rims is not right as both have paint--one whitish and one reddish. No trace of paint on the tail wheel. Have had same apart and found no trace of paint there to help me. Thanks for your help--it is a good start, chub

I am glad that I am of some help. Are the wheels spoked or solid? The really late centenial plows had regular bolt on wheels. I'll send you a picture of mine. The older Case moldboard plows were called centenials. Richard.
