I have a JI Case price list NO.60 that became effective January of 1960. It covers parts on all tractors and engine units. I don't know if these were prices that were avalable to the customer or if they were before dealer markup. All I do know is that I want me one of them there Time Machines. Here is a few major parts.
Case VA series 1. Manifold VT-330 price $11.45 2. Cylinder Block VT-120-2 price $165.36 3. High alt. Piston/sleeve set VTA-1130 price $48.15 4. Crankshaft VTA-869 price $91.00

If you have a part # and just wondering how much it cost then let me know..

May not be fun but inflation is a fact:
1960..... ...2001
$11.45 = $66.90
$165.36 = $966.19
$48.15 = $281.34
$91.00 = $531.71

Using the inflation calculator the $35 per week in 1960 is $204.50 per week in 2001. Something does not seem quite right here.

What kills me is what older tractors sell for today.

A David Brown 880 was $4600 new in 1965. One in fair shape today will fetch almost that.

Add a few parts and a little work to it and you are easily over what the thing cost new...

It's crazy.
