It is a Case 430, a 1966 I think, with the good power steering and my lift arms want to come up very slow and when I stand on them the will not come up. However once up in any position they will not go down and hold strong. Fluid level seem ok but the oil is gray-ish. Is there a on-off on the hydralic system?? The rear remotes kick the hose around and they seem strong. Is there a filter on this system?? thanks for any help Larry

The Filter for the hydraulics is on the left side
below the fuel tank .Look for 4 bolts that hold the cap on .Filter is NAPA # 1518. the dipstick is on the end of the filler plug on the left side of the front transmission. I use the combination fluid that is called TDH (trans. differential, hydraulic).

I think I was looking at the wrong dipstick. Are the hydralics the dipstick on the case below the seat or the little dipstick kinda under the dash up by your left foot?? If so this shows no fluid on the stick and what kind of fluid should I use?? I will probably have to go to TSC and I have some JD Fluid here at the house. Thanks Larry

On my 530, the hydraulic oil is on that dipstick under the fuel tank/dashboard. A good grade of tractor hydraulic oil will work fine. I've put the JD 303 oil in the Case many times and never had any problem but any oil is better than no oil. I use a heavier oil in the trans/rear end as there are two back facing seals to keep them apart.
