Hi.... first time on this board. I'm going to a farm auction this weekend to look at a Case 970. It has a cab, frt end loader, power shift and is diesel. (Motor rebuilt 2 years ago)

Recently moved to 5 acres with some horses and want to get a loader to do general barn and yard work. Is this too big for what I may need? Can't seem to find any pictures.

Just wondering if anyone can give me an idea of what it might be worth in Central Canada.

Thanks for your comments.

I have a Case 970, I need a complete set of battery cables. (24 volt system) Does anyone know of a good place on the internet that would have them at a good price.

Well I did it. Bought this 970 Case at the auction for (based on what I've seen them going for) half the price. Guess I'll be talking you guys a little more now.

Might be a little big for that size acerage. You may need something in the 40 to 45 horsepower range to meet your needs, such as a 880 David Brown or a 430 or 530 case if you are looking to stay in the Case line. These are all great little chore tractors and handle a loader real well.

Maybe too big. About 90 or so horsepower. On the
left side of your screen find Marketplace. Click on Tractor Ads and then at the space provided enter "Case 970" or "970 Case". There is one nice picture of a clean 970.

Hope you can locate that picture and good luck.
