No, the hydraulic system pumps out of the front section of the transmission only. The manual calls for 30 wt. motor oil. The rest of the transmission and rear end get 90 wt. gear oil.

ok if thats the case I cannot figure how when the lift is operated the supply comes out from the front pump area where you are mentioning. what gets me on my tractor I do not have a return line from the lift. seems if it dumps the oil straight down into the rearend. your theory where does it return from. seems funny to me! thanks

Hi Gary, Mr Amick is correct. The torque tube & transmission are separate sumps and take different oils. The eagle hitch piston is single acting, when the lever is in the lower (dump) position the oil returns to the torque tube reservior via the supply line and interlock block. Good luck, Joe

Hi Gary, torque tube capacity will be 14-16 qts depending on drive options (standard, triple range, shuttle, multi plate clutch, etc). Dipstick is attached to plug on cover plate, drain plug is just fwd of transmission/torque tube mating flange. Transmission sump is approx 28 qts. Dipstick is attached to fill plug located by shifter cover plate, drain plug on bottom just aft of axles. Owner's manual: torque tube = 10 wt motor oil, transmission = 90 wt gear oil. I am using GP tractor hyd fluid & 80-90 GL5 respectively. Good luck, Joe
