HELP...I just bought a small Case tractor. It is a 1984?? Case 446 Hydro. I know nothing about it other than it runs well. Has an Onan engine. ANY info about it would be greatly appreciated. Are any parts still available for it, and if so, from where?? Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I have the 446 unit & just love it, but, am having problems finding parts & #'s & specs for it. I do have the owners manual from Case and a breakdown from Ingersol Rand and would be happy to provide.

My problem now is replacing the belt that drives the two (2) outer blades on the mower deck. If any of you have any information/part #'s for the mower deck, please advise ASAP.

I also have the snowblower unit in "Great" shape for sale, swap or trade and will ship. Let me know if you can use it, as we have little to none "snow
removal requirement" here in South Georgia.

Thanks.

They are a darn good lil unit, a couple weak points tho, the frame underneath the seat by the brake hub is very pron to cracking and breaking off, and depending on the style yours has, the front clutch in behind the fan for engaging the belt drive can be a real PITA if it get out of adjustment or the slots in the hub for engagement get wore. I owned one and my grandfather years ago had one as well. They really can knock the grass down in a hurry as well blow snow. If you have the rotortiller attachment, one tip there, run the tiller backwards to your direction of motion, it does not perform well if rotation is the same as your direction of travel.

Make sure ya check that frame area, its a bugger to fix as there is no clearance to speak of in there, other than what I mentioned above a darn good rig IMHO

I have a 444 that is broken in this area. I was going to weld the crack and then weld a 1/4" plate along side of the frame. Does anyone have any other ideas?

On the 446 I did not have room for 1/4 inch plate, but with a bit of finagling and grinding I managed to use a piece of angle iron and get it welded in there, it worked well

I wish, I really liked ours even though it was old and wore out, but I just got a DB770 which I will be powering my Woods mower with..... they are nice lil rigs tho, I sold mine for parts for $200, motor was shot and the guy was still glad to get it.
