I have a DB 780 that I am tearing down for an overhaul. It needs bored oversize. How do I get the steel compression seal rings out of the top of the bore?

Thanks

They should just pop out with a screwdriver, might take a wallop to loosen them..... .....or you could buy my 880 engine, very low hours since overhaul, rest of tractor is wore out, $1000 cdn :o)

Out in Williams Lake, BC..... ....if you are interested in the motor I may be making a trip east as far as Winnipeg before July. I bougt it for my 4600 and used it to cut 3 acres of grass for about 4 years, hydraulics are shot, some castings on rear diff broke and clutch shot....so I am keeping everything but the engine to use for parts on my 770..... .

Hi Tim - Sorry, that's a little too far for me, but I'll pass the message along to others here in Ont. Jim

It probably wouldn't be more than $300 to ship it via Canadian Freightways, I could pallet it up no problem
