Sorry to bug you all so much (I am such a newbie to tractors)
I have a 1951 DC-3 and I want a hand crank for it.
I found one on ebay but I am unsure if it will work (the lady doesn't know what CASE it came from)
The item number is below if any of you could look, I'd appreciate it.

THis crank is for a C not a D. The D cranks are
curved to follow the curve of the cast iron grille. However, it would work on a D or DC4,
but definitely not on a DC3.

Chris,
That crank assembly is from a D or early model DC4 with the front axle mounted under the radiator. It definitely will not work as the DC3 crank is removable, is about 2 1/2 feet long and mounts along side the seat when not in use. I hope this helps.

I was also looking at that crank. I don't think it is for L or LA, but kind of hard to tell from their pictures. One thing I noticed is that the part of the crank handle that would stick out under the radiator looks kind of short, indicating possibly C rather than DC, but I am not sure. If you have a salvage in your area, you might come out better there than a "not sure" part, especially by the time you ship that heavy crank. If it helps any, I have bought other items from that seller, and they have pretty well been as represented and shipped with reasonable promptness.

The one in the picture looks like one for a D, DO, or a DC4. It won't work on a DC3. It uses one with a flat blade end that insert into spring loaded mechanism in the front.

Looks like a crank from a 'C'
