I've had a problem with a 930 that has me stumped. The engine bogs down after running for some time as if starved for fuel. It will struggle to stay running (or not) and them regain normal speed and repeat the sequence after a few minutes. I cleaned the oil bath in the air cleaner. I drained water out of the tank trap and changed all three fuel filters. No improvement. I found air in the top of the first filter case and replaced the gasket on the bleed screw. I found negative pressure in the priming pump and removed and blew out the line from the tank. I removed and cleaned the tank. It still happens. Any ideas?

Is your tractor a comfort king or a standard. If it is a comfort king with the rear fuel tank then it could be at the hand primer pump by the dash area. It is a plunger type pump you use to bleed teh system of air after running out of fuel or new filter change. I have seen fule straveing problems in this before. To make the pump work there is to check valves, one on each side of the pump to control the flow of fuel so it just does not pump back in to the tank. Take the hand pump off and check to see they are clear of any junk that maybe plugging them up. Be sure to reinstall them the way they came out. I hope this cures the problem. Feel free to email with more questions if need be. We run 3 1030, 2 930, and a 830 all diesels.

A couple of years ago I had the same problem. You should be able to use the primer pump to pump through the system and if not there is a blockage somewhere and keep using the primer pump and pull lines apart to figure out where it is. My blockage turned out to be a large insect just before the primer pump that would let some fuel through but would restrict it if pulling hard. Pump pressure is another place to start.
