is my 870 rare?

Hi, I have a question.

I have a 1974 870 (8 speed, no cab) that my dad bought new. It was one of the very first power red / power white 870's produced that year.

My question is, just how many of these were produced? J.I. Case only produced the 870 in those colors in 1974 and 1975 so I'm guessing less then 500.

The serial number is: 8741479

The engine block number is: A5850(5)

There is one sitting at our local Case dealer right now. I do not think they are as common as a 970 or 1070 but I would not call it rare. Jerry
