Hello Case fans. I have been on here before but it's been a while. I posted as ff316 and I had a SC. It's long gone but I have another Case. It's a VAC that belonged to my wife's grandfather. He used it to plow tobacco with. He replaced it with a Farmall H years ago and actually gave the little Case away. The person he gave it to rebuilt the engine and used it for several years. One winter it sat out with nothing over the muffler and lockep up. He replaced the engine with one from a junker and kept plowing. When he got out of farming he gave it back to my wife's grandfather, who gave it to me. I figured I would keep the tradition going and pass it to my son (4 years old).

It has sat outside for a few years and is unfortuantely stuck again. I think it will be OK though. I pulled the plugs today and only one looked like it had any sign of moisture in the cylinder. I shot some PB Blaster in each cylinder and screwed the plugs back in. We'll try to pull it around for a while and see if she will come lose. I also put a rain cap on it today and covered the air intake with a bottle I hose clamped on to keep the cattle from knocking it off. They knocked the last one off and I looked all over for it with no success. Anyone got an extra lying around?

Also today I replaced the bass boat seat with an actual tractor seat. I have a few extra parts such as another hydraulic pump with belt pulley, a real good set of fenders, and a hood side with the door. I also have a lot better steering wheel.

I would like to rebuild the engine eventually but for now I would be happy to just get it running. It ran a few years ago so I don't think that's out of the question.

I'm sorry for being long winded but I'm going to try to hang around here a little more often. It's hard with the job and family but hopefully I can get the old girl back in shape. I feel real lucky to have it back in the family, I know most "family" tractors are gone forever once they leave. Here's a picture from the photo gallery, there's one of the other side there too.

Oh yeah, I've got another kid on the way so I'll be needing another tractor around the middle of April :)

Very nice. I have a '48 model. I'd lover to have the rear 3point add on system for the high pressure hydraulics like yours has. I mow about 3 acres about 1.5 times a week with a 60" belly mower. Great little tractor
