Does anyone know if a starter for a DC with fit in a D ? (and if so will it ultimatly work for an old LA)

I have been told on this forum that the D starter will work on the LA

While I don"t know if the starters are the same between the L"s and the D"s, I do know there are 2 different types of starters for the D. There is an early style with 13 teeth and the later style with 11 teeth. They have ring gears to match. So you might want to get the actual part numbers and verify they are interchangeable before swapping between the D and LA.

I don't know if the starters will exchange between an LA and a D, but it IS the same starter between the D and DC
