This utter novice hopes someone can offer some advice on a ticking 930. The tick-tick-tick sound comes from the rear end/PTO region at a frequency of about 2/sec at idle and is independent of the transmission or PTO engagement. Anyone have any idea what it might be from and how worried I ought to be?

Cheers

Hi Dale, my 930 had a ticking and it turned out to be the chain drive for the hydraulic pump. It has a bushing in the gear which was very worn, but cheap and easy to replace. My 930 is a 1960 model, later models may be different. Good luck.

Does the 930 have live and independant PTO? Thanks in advance.
