I am looking for more info on a 730 Case. How can I tell how old it is, are parts somewhat available and suggestions as to where I could look for manuals. It is a Case 730 with dual hydraulics, standard transmission, "square fenders" (I was told by a fellow that square fenders were "important"), and what looks like a "bolt-on" belt drive assembly on the rear above the hitch (where the PTO would be located). I asked the present owner about the belt drive and he said it was there when he bought the tractor 15 years ago and he has never used it. If a person were to remove it would we find the PTO shaft?

Any and all information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks again
Dave

Hi Dave, It sounds like to me you have a 730 comfort king. They made that madel from 65 throu 69. Very reliable tractor with lots of power. Someone has equipped that tractor with a belt pully if I understand what you are saying. If you want to equipp that tractor with 540 pto that would be no problem. I would be intested in that belt pully. I do have a 540 pto set-up for that tractor. I have 4 830's 3 930's and 2 1030's. All modles have the same size pto housing.
