Trying to help a friend. His tractor is an early VAO and the light switch is broken. Can any body help. A source for a new or good used switch would be great. Thanks in advance, Terry.

It looks like CASE supersceeded the old switch with a new one. And the new one is just a reugular on off switch, darn it anyway. I find it funny that they still make the nob assembly but not the switch!

If you have any luck finding a supply for the resistor let me know. That is all that is wrong with my switch (a broken resistor)

I think I have found a supplier for the wire wrapped resistor. I have purchase parts from him in the past. He feels that he can match it up to some of the parts he has available for other Delco electrical parts. His name is Keith and his number is 580-226-0270. He buys and sells Delco parts for antique cars. Thanks, Terry.

Today's Featured Article - Recollections of a John Deere GP - by Charlie Cook. I grew up on my dad's 280 acre general farm in Western Michigan. Dad's only tractor when I was very young was the old GP. My first recollection of this tractor was when dad allowed my brother and myself to ride on the tractor with him driving. One of us would sit on the left fender (away from the clutch) and other would sit on the gas tank and hold onto the crankcase breather pipe. ... [Read Article]
