Hello.I have fluid leaking from between the motor and the tranny. One person said it was the seal.Just split it and replace it.Now somebody else has told me that it could be something else in that same area that is cracked and leaking.I have never had it apart so I do not know what it looks like.Any ideas? Also what is involved in splitting it besides disconnecting all the necessary hoses etc. How is the engine coupled to the tranny? Any help or links to instructions for this procedure would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I would try tighting the bell housing bolts first i have stopped a few that way that is a wet housing there is a gasket between the engine and bell housing. allso look at your starter to see if is running down.
Good Luck Ed

Your transmission is called "Power Shuttle". The only places for leaks are between the engine and bellhousing or starter and bellhousing. The torque converter is splined to the flywheel by a toothed ring nearly the size of the starter ring gear. It easily aligns for reassembly.
