I agree with fan blades.Could be dangerous.Ive pulled on these and have been wondering.May take off and put on electric fan as its only gonna be used for pulling and parades anywho.Hate to see someone get hurt cause of my stupidity. Thanx,Hoss

That would make a difference so guess it would not hurt to advance timing. If you have a case-o matic you can just back tractor in small gutter -than put in hi gear an give full throttle- for short time an check rpm .Make your changes an check again.Since these tractors have some age you miht want to carefully clean an check fan blades for cracks around rivets before you rev too fast. Blades on any fan are somewhat hard an if cracked could make a bad day for you. Good idea never try to turn engine with your hand as you work on it.

You can change throttle stop on back of pump for more revs.I have heard of direct inj engines being at 50degrees but would not want to do that on 830.Keep in mind there is a balancer spinning around in bbottom of engine, alwaws seemed to me that would scatter if run too fast.
