Last winter I put togather a time line of the Case company from 1842 to 1996. It includes the mergers, and purchases, as well as introductions of different models. Combines, garden tractors, cars, and industrial equipment included. The Ag Heritage Museum at SDSU in Brookings SD is putting it all togather with pictures as a wall display for the Case Expo at Prairie Village near Madison SD in August. We have most of what we need, but could use pictures of the 40-80, and the sailing ship JICase with something in it for perspective. We do not need original paper, only nice copies. Please reply, or email if you can help. DK

Hey DKase,

I don't think I have anything that you're looking for- but here's my collection of "vintage" photos that I've been saving from eBay, etc.

I think the DC factory diesel is the only "rare" thing that might be in there.

I wonder if the Burger ship yard built the sailing ship? Don L.

All I know is she was built in 1874 at Manitowac WI, stood 190' above the water, was 209' long, and carried 60,000 bushels of wheat between Chicago and Buffalo NY. VERY impressive!

Emailed pics would be fine. Please add contact info in case the pics do not come through good so we can possibly get them from you the old snail mail way. DK

I own a 1937 fully restored Case L and need to know some history about it. My grand father purchased it new in 1937 and it has been in the family ever since. Now it is mine. Absolute mint condition. Is ther a lot of interest in this baby. I take it to all the vintage shows and she is a honey. Cheeers Suzi

I have a 1938 Case L and I really like that tractor! The Case L was introduced in 1929 and built until the 1940 model year. I'm glad you are enjoying your Case. It's a wonderful thing to have a tractor with a long family history! Priceless. If you have any specific questions, post them or email. I'm sure we can probably answer them.

You might do some checking also on ebay. Be surprise what shows up there on old adds etc.
