I have a 211B tractor thathad a broken clutch pedal when I bought it, replaced pedal, was rock hard, split tractor, cleaned mouse nest from clutch & bell housing, installed new throwout bearing as old one was pretty bad everything moves freely but clutch didn't release no matter how it was adjusted. Replaced disc as it was starting to de laminate due to rust, thought extra thickness due to scale was making it stick. Put back together AGAIN and it still does not release. It has good travel, feels right but still won't release. I am thinking it must be a finger problem on pressure plate. any ideas? anyone have a repssureplete for one of these? I'd even take a working used one. I got a good deal on this tractor but it is turning into the gift that keeps on taking.

I had a 351 that had a really hard to push clutch pedal. I found I had put a piece of clutch linkage on wrong and it changed the leverage that made it hard to push down to disengage. I reversed it and all worked like it should.

Had problem in replaceing my clutch and stuff. Turned out the aliner was straight and the clutch was going in at a slight off. The clutch liner was not correct one to use on this. Think it was a metric liner tool. But after redoing it and holding the tool up some as it went it. Everything worked then.

CT, When you reassembled the tractor , did it slide together easily or did you pull it together the last 3/4 inch with bolts ? If you pulled it with the bolts , most likely the th splines that drive the hyd pump did not slide in to the cover assembly and you have crushed the cover. Take it apart ,press the cover back into shape and it will work. Questions , send me an email .

George is right. I just did a 310, had a heck of a time getting the pump shaft splined up in a new pressure plate. Ended up taking the pressure plate back off, filing the spline ends slightly to help it get started. Slide the pressure plate onto the pump shaft splines to check for fit and any snags before you remount it on the flywheel.

I've done several of the 300's, first one that didn't mate right up. I think it was not only the new pressure plate splines but also I had the pump disengaged so when the pressure plate splines touched the end of the pump shaft splines and I turned the engine to mate up, the pump shaft turned too easy to mesh. With the pump engaged there was some resistance to turning in the pump shaft.

If you still have trouble mating the splines, pull the cover on the right side of the torque tube for access to the pump shaft gear and turn it there.
