Would anyone please take a look at this part and help me locate one. I think I would call it a reluctant wheel or gear. If you notice in the one picture it has broken teeth. Its off my 52 Case VAI. I need to find one!! Thanks all

There are several folks here that work on magnetos. That looks like part of a Case magneto.. is this true? Any number of other magnetos have been fitted to these old tractors so it might be nice to know.

To my knowledge it is the original magneto. This part slides in under the mag cap and meshes with the gear on the mag. Then a set screw tightens it in. I dont even know what it is called or where to begin to find where to get one. I will be more than happy to take better pictures if someone would be intrested in directing me. The current pictures can be found at www.jeepinit.com/gallery then click "tim fisher" then click on "tractor"

Thanks all!!
Tim
