Also you can get a 5/8 wide pulley to match the pulley size on the case DC,from speedwaymotors.com. I got the aluminum one for the old 1969 chevy 10DN externally regulated alternator I had laying around. I then bought an electronic regulator off ebay which bolts to outside of the alternator

Pulley can be found at:

You can get late 60's chevy truck generators that are 12 volt and they fit pretty good. also look original.

I just converted my Case over from generator to alternator. I went to parts place and bought one for a 1975 chev 10 and it's a three wire. Now don't forget while there to get a plug for the alternator! They sale them and you will need it to plug into alternator.... This alternator is small and works good. Tell them you want this alternator for this truck with no power. Otherwise you get a big one and not the smaller one. My cost was $35.00 for alternator and the wire plug for alternator was 2.99 here in Missouri at 'O' Reilly auto parts.
I next got a long bolt that fits where generator was holding. Goes from front to back. Put in a spacer such as a small pipe that fits around the bolt to take up any room left there.

Next stop at Radio Shack and get a Rectifier Diodes. Comes in package and cost of about $2.50 here. You will only need one in package but save the rest.
Now if you send me your email to lawrence9309@sbcglobal.net and put in subject line. Tractor Alternator. I will send you a diagram and more information on how to hook it up.
