Once my Case DC gets to about 160-180 degrees, the anitfreeze and water will start to boil out of the top of the radiator. I have taken the thermostat out to make sure that wasnt sticking, and it still does the same thing. The head gasket is leaking a little bit, would this cause it to do this? Could the radiator possibly have to be flushed? Thanks

My DC-4 acted the same way. The impulse spring was broken causing retarded timimg. Replaced the spring and runs fine now... Gene

Dalton,
It could be a number of things. Your timing might off, your head might be warped or cracked, your head gasket may be shot, your engine could be full of sludge in the water passages, your radiator may be plugged tight, either inside the core or outside filled with dirt. Good Luck! Don

Fins in the radiator clean(is air being pulled thru)? IS fan belt tight? Is it the correct belt so it doesn't ride on the bottom of the pulley? When it warms up it boils over but does it have bubbles before expanding, that could mean the leaking head gasket is also blown. Case recommended cleaning the cooling system with washing soda EVERY year, most I've taken apart have had inches of mud, sludge, gunk, whatever in the block.

It sounds like the radiator might need to be flushed, or removed and boiled out. Had the same thing happen with my LA.
