I POSTED THIS ON THE CRAWLER FROUM A COUPLE DAYS AGO AND GOT NO RESPONSE. I HAVE A CASE 530 BACKHOE WITH A BLOWN ENGINE. I JUST BOUGHT A 580B MACHINE ON EBAY THAT DOES NOT HAVE A HOE WITH IT. I HAVE NOT TAKEN POSSESION YET AND IM WONDERING IF THE 530 HOE WILL MATE UP TO THE 580B MOUNTS WITHOUT CHANGING ANYTHING. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ADVICE ON THIS MATTER? FROM LOOKING AT THE PICTURES OF THE 580, THE TWO MACHINES ARE VERY SIMILAR. IM THINKING THAT IF THE ARMS ARE DIFFERENT THEN I CAN TAKE THE ARMS OFF THE 530 AND MOUNT THEM TO THE 580 MACHINE WITHOUT CUTTING OR WELDING ANYWHERE. PLEASE REPLY AS I NEED TO MAKE A DECISION ON THIS MACHINE QUICKLY. THANKS JPW

Hoe attachment will require some part changes in reply to projacktech, 04-07-2008 20:04:16
The 530 does not have a modular hitch for the hoe attachment like the 580B. Probably the easiest way to install the 530 hoe on a 580B will be faciliated by using 530 hoe mounting plates. Those 530 hoe mounting plates should bolt directly on the 580B.

Thanks Roger, I was hoping you would reply since you seem to know your old case backhoes very well. I went ahead and paid for the 580, should get it sometime next week, all I can do is hope for the best. JPW
