I saw a clean 1170 Case no cab in the desert sunset color,
I know its an older one by the color, Its got powershift and 6000 hrs on it,
Is that alot of hrs on an 1170, that has powershift??
I mean its really tempting?
It looks good for its age,I like that look of the no cab and its got a straght pipe on it too,

Have never seen an 1170 without a cab, they were 8 speeds, no powershift was offered.Truthfully an 11 with a staight pipe, probably isn't all that loud.

Hi Orange,
It's Kirk,
this 1170 i saw was in the tr4actorhouse ads and it was a no cab and had a straight pipe that was chrome,
It was in Oklahoma, and i dont think that the person that had it knew too much about Case's,
i know that thing would be loud or louder than you'sd want for a few min's even,
]I wear earmuffs or earplugs even with driving this w-6 ive got as the niose will get too you and then youll be like alot of older people that say what all the time, and their hearing was gone yrs ago to prolonged noise on machinery,
Really Sad,

I think the other guys are correct about the powershift. I beleive only the 1175's came with powershift while the 1170's came in only the 8 speed. Check the serial tag.

If you like your hearing you'll get rid of the straight pipe in a hurry if you buy it. 1170's were 8 speeds, at least everyone I've ever seen and I think thats the way they were all made.

No outside planeteries,
2 wheels drive tractors dont have that, only 4 wheel drive Cases have that,
As on my 2670.

1170 and 1175 had 8 speed and outboard planetaries, no power shift.

Looks like the 1170's were available with the powershift and the 1175's were 8 speeds only. According to tractor tips.com anyways.

I may be young and like to hear the sound of a good diesel but I ain't dumb! You will begin to hate that straight pipe after a few hours. If it had a cab then alright but you'll get a headache without one. Hours mean nothing really... all depends on what has been done and how it has been taken care of.

Hi JoebobIn,
Ill get it then Ill wear ear muff's and then i can enjoy it as the noise wont hurt my ear's, and i casn still hear the engine good and then when someone wants me?
I can still hear them when they call me,
your righty about that no cab though,
I mean it look's cool wit the nice Case lines,
But a cab is FARRR more prudent to have in the long run,
I know that for a fact as running this 2670 with the door open is not too fun for long,
I mean It sounds good as all case diesels do,
but it wont sound like that if you lose your hearing to engine noise,
Ill look for one with a cab, HAHAHA
