I drove an two hours away to look at a John Deere 4020 that was nothing like the ownwer said it was. Bummer. Good news is a Case 310B with a loader followed me home. Even better news is my wife likes it.

Sounds like you shoulda set your sights a little higher to begin with! I have a 310b with loader and forklift that I will never part with. Great little tractors! Good find!

This is how you keep your wife to like your tractors. You tell her you have enough old tractors to last you the rest of your life and you absolutely don't need another one. She says how many do you have? and you say "enough". Since my wife don't know how many I have, If I run across one that I just have to have, I will sneek it in when she is gone and she never knows the difference. Oh yes, If I ever do sell one, I always tell her and make a big deal out of it.

Lucky guy.. I have a 311-b and would like sometime to get a front loader for it. But can't afford anything around here for a loader. High bucks.

Getting the wife to like it is more than half the battle won!
