Please help me out. If i'm not mistaken the sheet metal, hood fuel tank and other parts from an 830 will not fit on an 800 series due to the fact that the sheet metal is taller right?

You will need the whole set including the fuel tank. The 800 has hooks that hold the hood to the tank and nose, the 30's used bolts

That high hood line was designed to coorespone with the larger fuel tank that farmers were needing, then the "Comfort King" was designed to be able to see over that high hood and fuel tank. Harry

there were 2 different styles of sheet metal. there was a Low" tin version early on that was somewhat common between the 700/800 and early 730/830"s. about 1963 the went to the tall tin which carried on to the comfort-kings. you can switch between the 2 but you'll have to change all the metal radiator and air cleaner. I presume you are looking to fix your roof collapse damage??

Yes that's correct. Mine is a 1959 801B. I found some on E-Bay and I parted out a 1963 830 last fall and I know that the tin from that one was too tall. I'm trying to get measurements from the E-Bay seller as we speak.

You say that the ealry 830's would work? Can you define "early"?
Thanks,
Larry

I believe early (other correct if I'm wrong) is 1960 thru 1962. HOWEVER, If yours has the door for the radiator they may not be the same. If yours only has a round hole in the to top for the rad cap it should work. The tall tin front hood section may interchange too with the round hole but will have an extra round hole for the front mounted air cleaner.

I should say that mine only has the one hole in the top of the nose cover. My air intake is mounted on the side of the hood..

right. The pre 1963"s had the aircleaner on the side only. It sounds like the early 730-830"s will work for you. Maybe ??? the early 930"s too (pre comfort king)
