We've pulled 3-14s on a gas 312.

AS Glenn says depends on the soil. We live in western Wisconsin, clay and good old black soil. Pulled 3 14's in the hills and on the level. The 300 is a great little tractor with only one weak area. The rear end is the same as a VAC and we split ours plowing one year. They came from the factory (gas) rated at 34.9 hp. This was according to the dealer.

Alan:
No question generates more fish stories than the "How many plows can my tractor pull?" It seems one person always has to up the other.

That said, plowing conditions vary greatly. In my neck of the woods, you MIGHT pull 2-12's IF the planets were lined up, (1-16" is more likely). In order to pull much you would have to have the tractor pretty well loaded up...80% tire ballast, etc.

We pull 2-14's with our DC's and they don't want ANY more.

A 300 with a case mtd plow will outplow any dc built before 1952. (usually one more bottom than the dc too)
