Hauled my 1955 400 Case to a tractor ride last year. Pulled a very good tilt bed bumper hitch trailor with my 1990 F-250 5.8 litre 4WD. My route was pretty hilly. Truck would slow to 35-45 mph by the time I climbed to the top of some of the hills. On the level I could do 55-60(as fast as I wanted to go). Is this just the nature of pulling that 5500-6200 pound tractor with trailor with that truck????? gobble

That sounds about right for an older truck as you were pulling at least 8,000 lbs trailer and tractor. The newer engines have quite a bit more power, looks like you only have about 210 hp.

Yep pretty much how it is. Thats why if you watch a trucker he will speed up going down one hill just to get enough speed up to make it over the top of the next one as a fair speed
